Our Legacy of Conservation
Just as it was visionary forester Robert Marshall’s controversial 1938 proposal for a “permanent American frontier” that first opened minds to the idea of preserving some of arctic Alaska on a vast, landscape scale, it is our vision to support and educate the webmaster's endeavor to conserve resources and begin and maintain a sustainable lifestyle and business that will 'leave the world in a better way than we found it".
Many programs that affect consumers are more obvious than the website they are doing business with's hosting supplier, but, perhaps, none more significant. For example, some of the biggest savings acquisitions from 1992 to 2000 came from the commercial and industrial sectors. Over 10,000 commercial buildings and 400 manufacturing firms have improved energy technologies and equipment because of the green programs Go Green Hosting helps support. This includes major improvements in aluminum plants, which use a large portion of the US's electricity.
While the programs were centrally funded by our green tag supplier, they required a region-wide effort that involved the public utilities, state and local governments, private firms, (like us!) and consumers themselves. (that's YOU!)
These businesses adopt principles, policies, and practices that improve the quality of life for their customers, their employees, communities, and the environment.
